I certainly skipped a groove, not only did I not post yesterday, my days are off too, chalk it up to stuff happens. Today is my rest day, there for no workout, housecleaning and laundry however are on the list. Yesterdays work out was the burn it off and recharge, burn it off is 5 high intensity cardio workouts in a row and then very light weights to cool down, this is repeated about 3 or 4 times during the half hour circuit. Here is a tip, when you are working out doing high intensity cardio say running or jumping, once the exercise is complete keep moving, such as have you seen a runner stop running and bend over to grab a breathe, if you do that keep making gentle movements whether it is just moving your arms or legs in small bouncing movements, it is easier on your heart to slow down gradually rather than boom, you stop moving. Also, wait 30 seconds before taking a sip of water, you will not dehydrate during those 30 seconds, but if you don’t wait you could very well choke….food for thought.
breakfast: 1 cup light ricotta cheese with mixed berries and 2 tbsp of slivered almonds sprinkled with cinnamon
snack: radishes and celery with one serving size of light cream cheese
lunch: 1 veggie burger on a toasted whole wheat english muffin, with slice of beef steak tomato, 1 cup romaine with cucumber, hearts of palm and raspberry vinaigrette.
snack: post work out protein shake with mango and unsweetened cocoa
dinner: 1/4 cup potato sautéed with squash and onions seasoned with ground cumin, salt and pepper. herb crusted tilapia, baked. Steamed veggie
Snack: 1/2 sweet potato muffin.
Mixing up the foods and not eating the same thing 2 days in a row has already shown benefits, my body fat moved down and weight up 1/2 pound, very happy with that result…keep on keeping on!
