This is a growing concern in our society today. Diabetes has reached epidemic proportions and is a largely preventable condition. There are hundreds of thousands of undiagnosed diabetics and the numbers escalate every year. Type II Diabetes is also being diagnosed in our children at alarming rates. Some experts now believe that Diabetes is Heart Disease, and that these two conditions are occurring simultaneously in the body. The leading indicator for this condition is lifestyle, diet and lack of exercise resulting in obesity. To be honest with anyone who has this condition, looking at lifestyle, the diet and the exercise is as important as any drug or supplement that is reached for. Supplements can have a dramatic effect on this condition when combined with some diet and exercise changes. For sustained results and control of this condition all three components need to be recognized (dietary changes, exercise routine, and supplementation) and committed to. Working on dropping excess weight and maintaining good cardiovascular health need to be targeted together.
